Silicon manganese alloy, a meticulously crafted composite of manganese, silicon, iron, with trace elements of carbon, stands as a pivotal iron alloy known for its versatility and high production volume. It ranks second in consumption among electric furnace ferroalloy products. Notably, the manganese and silicon elements exhibit a remarkable affinity for oxygen. During steelmaking, this alloy forms deoxidation products, mnsio3 and mn2sio4, with melting points of 1270 ºC and 1327 ºC, respectively. It excels with a reduced melting point, larger granules, enhanced buoyancy, and superior deoxidation efficiency. Remarkably, under identical conditions, the burning loss rate for separate manganese or silicon deoxidation is 46% and 37%. In contrast, manganese silicon alloy deoxidation achieves a significantly lower rate of 29%. This alloy is synthesized through the simultaneous reduction of manganese ore (including manganese-rich slag), manganese oxide, and silicon dioxide in silica using carbon in a submerged arc furnace.
Our diverse portfolio includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, and more. We also specialize in exporting refractory materials and other metallurgical products, tailored to meet customer specifications.
Equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines, our state-of-the-art facility supports a seamless manganese series hot charging and mixing process. This one-stop production approach ensures high-quality output with optimized yield and efficiency.
