Ferro molybdenum ( Ferro moly ) is a superior alloy primarily composed of iron (Fe) and molybdenum (Mo). This high-performance material is produced by melting iron and molybdenum sources, typically ferrosilicon and industrial-grade molybdenum oxide, together in a state-of-the-art furnace. The resulting alloy generally boasts molybdenum content in the range of50% to 75%. Ferromolybdenum is securely classified as non-hazardous for transportation, ensuring ease and safety in logistics.

Ferro molybdenum is a critical additive in steelmaking and cast iron production. Its addition significantly enhances the hardenability, strength, and corrosion resistance of the final metal products.
