Based on smelting techniques, ferromanganese is categorized into two distinct types: electric furnace ferromanganese and blast furnace ferromanganese, each offering unique benefits and efficiencies.
The carbon content in ferromanganese defines its classification into three main categories:

Low-Carbon Category: Featuring a carbon content that does not exceed 0.7%, this category is ideal for applications requiring minimal carbon presence.
Medium Carbon Category: With a carbon content ranging from greater than 0.7% to 2.0%, this variant strikes a balance between flexibility and strength.
High-Carbon Category: Boasting a carbon content that ranges from more than 2.0% to 8.0%, this category is perfect for applications demanding superior carbon robustness.
