In particular, silicon carbide powder, when applied to water turbine impellers or cylinders through a specialized method, markedly enhances wear resistance, potentially doubling the service life. The refractory materials crafted from silicon carbide boast remarkable heat shock resistance, compact size, lightweight, robust strength, and commendable energy efficiency. Moreover, low-grade silicon carbide, which contains approximately 85% SiC, is a superb deoxidizer, expediting steelmaking processes, refining chemical composition control, and elevating steel quality. Furthermore, silicon carbide is extensively utilized in the production of silicon carbide rods for electric heating elements.
