The categorization of ferromanganese based on carbon content includes the following three distinguished categories:

Low-carbon category: This variant maintains a carbon content not exceeding 0.7%, ideal for specialized applications.
Medium carbon category: Featuring a carbon content ranging from greater than 0.7% up to 2.0%, this category strikes a balance between performance and versatility.
High-carbon category: With a carbon content exceeding 2.0% and up to 8.0%, this type is perfect for robust and demanding industrial uses.
