Introducing our premium ferrovanadium, sourced directly from the heart of manufacturing excellence. This guarantees an unmatched standard of quality and reliability, ideal for meeting the rigorous demands of industrial applications.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) stands as a cornerstone in the steel industry, celebrated for its adaptability and potent performance. Comprising chiefly of vanadium and iron, it also features minor traces of sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. Our FeV is expertly crafted via carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in electric furnaces or through aluminothermic reduction. This indispensable alloy plays a pivotal role as an additive, enhancing the production of vanadium-enriched alloy steel and cast iron, as well as in the creation of robust permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is customized to meet specific alloy formulations and manufacturing demands, typically ranging from 30% to 80%, with iron forming the remainder. FeV alloys are categorized into three key types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. Each type is vital as an additive in smelting operations of both alloy and low-alloy steel. Additionally, vanadium aluminum alloys, colloquially known as 'VQ' VAl, are essential in the production of titanium alloys.
