Due to the rapid synergy between silicon and oxygen forming silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon serves as an indispensable deoxidizer in steelmaking processes. Moreover, the exothermic reaction during SiO2 formation significantly elevates the temperature of molten steel, enhancing its deoxidizing capabilities. Beyond deoxidation, ferrosilicon is a vital alloying element additive, extensively applied in the development of low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, and electrical silicon steel.
