Product Description

This ferrosilicon alloy emerges from the fusion of coke, steel scraps, and quartz (or silica) within the confines of an electric furnace. Due to the rapid synergy between silicon and oxygen forming silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon serves as an indispensable deoxidizer in steelmaking processes. Moreover, the exothermic reaction during SiO2 formation significantly elevates the temperature of molten steel, enhancing its deoxidizing capabilities. Beyond deoxidation, ferrosilicon is a vital alloying element additive, extensively applied in the development of low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, and electrical silicon steel. Furthermore, it finds its role as a reducing agent across ferroalloy production and the chemical industry, showcasing its versatility.
