Silicon Metal is an essential industrial product that plays a pivotal role in various industries such as steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (including aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic devices. Revered as the 'salt' of modern industries, silicon metal is produced from quartz and coke through electric furnace smelting. It boasts a silicon content of approximately 98%, with remaining impurities consisting of iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are manufactured in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes redox reactions, transforming into molten silicon. Upon cooling, this molten substance solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps.
These lumps are subsequently broken down into smaller, standard-sized lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.
Characterized by its silver or dark gray hue with a metallic luster, Silicon Metal exhibits a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, elevated resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in refractory materials and the power metallurgy industry to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for high polymer organic silicon formation.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical material in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is valued as an additive for iron base alloys and as a pharmaceutical agent for silicon steel, boosting the steel's hardenability.
5) Silicon metal is also crucial in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our primary products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. Additionally, we engage in the export of refractory materials and other metallurgical products, tailoring processing to meet customer specifications.
Equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding production lines, we facilitate a streamlined process for manganese series hot charging and mixing. This setup allows for a seamless, high-quality, high-yield, and low-consumption production process.
