Product Description

Steel manufacturing, particularly the creation of stainless steel, is a major consumer of Ferro Chrome, demanding a chromium content ranging from 10% to 20% to achieve unparalleled strength and resilience.

Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content below 56% is referred to as 'charge chrome' and is derived from ore with a lower chrome concentration. On the other hand, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from superior ore, is predominantly used in specialized applications like engineering steels, where a high Cr to Fe ratio and minimal impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are crucial.

Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is instrumental in steel production, allowing for precise adjustments to chrome percentages without unintended alterations in carbon or trace elements. Moreover, it serves as a cost-effective substitute for metallic chrome in superalloys and other specialized melting processes.
