Meanwhile, high carbon ferromanganese is predominantly utilized as a crucial deoxidizing agent or as an additive alloy element in the steel-making process, ensuring the desired quality and characteristics of the final steel products.

Based on the smelting process employed, ferromanganese is categorized into two types: electric furnace ferromanganese and blast furnace ferromanganese. Each type offers unique properties and benefits suitable for varying industrial requirements.
Classified by carbon content, ferromanganese is divided into three distinctive categories:

Low-Carbon Category: Featuring a carbon content of no more than 0.7%, this category ensures high purity and enhanced performance in specialized applications.
Medium Carbon Category: With a carbon content ranging from greater than 0.7% to 2.0%, this category balances strength and ductility, making it versatile for numerous applications.
High-Carbon Category: Characterized by a carbon content exceeding 2.0% up to 8.0%, this category is ideal for applications demanding enhanced strength and specific alloying properties.
