Customized FeCr Ferrochromium Low Carbon Ferro Chrome
Steel production stands as the primary consumer of Ferro Chrome, most notably in the creation of stainless steel that boasts a chromium content ranging between 10 and 20%. This crucial ingredient ensures the high-quality standards of modern steelmaking.
Known as 'charge chrome', Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content below 56% is derived from lower-grade chrome ore. In contrast, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from superior-grade ore, is preferred for specialized applications such as engineering steels. These applications demand a high Cr to Fe ratio and minimal impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium, ensuring exceptional product performance.
Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is integral to steel production, allowing for precise adjustment of chrome levels without unwanted alterations in carbon or trace element percentages. Additionally, it offers a cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome for super alloys and other specialized melting applications, making it a versatile choice for industry professionals.
