Product Description


Ferrosilicon is a remarkable ferroalloy composed of iron and silicon. This alloy is crafted from high-quality coke, steel scraps, and quartz (or silica) and expertly smelted in an electric furnace. Silicon's affinity to oxygen, forming silicon dioxide, makes ferrosilicon an essential deoxidizer in steelmaking processes. Additionally, the generation of SiO2 releases substantial heat, effectively raising the temperature of molten steel during deoxidation. Beyond this, ferrosilicon serves as an important alloying element additive, finding widespread application in low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, and electrical silicon steel.
