Introducing our exceptional ferrovanadium, sourced with precision directly from the epicenter of industrial excellence, ensuring unmatched quality and steadfast reliability.
Ferrovanadium, a crucial ferroalloy, is extensively utilized within the steel sector. This dynamic alloy unites vanadium and iron, enriched with trace impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. Expertly crafted through either carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or aluminothermic reduction, this indispensable alloy is pivotal as an additive in the smelting of vanadium-rich alloy steel and cast iron, as well as in the creation of permanent magnets.
Vanadium content in ferrovanadium is carefully calibrated to meet specific alloy formulations and manufacturing needs. Generally, vanadium content in ferrovanadium ranges from 30% to 80%, balanced by iron. FeV alloys are distinguished into three notable types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80, each essential in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Additionally, vanadium aluminum alloys play a central role in titanium alloy production, commonly known as 'VQ' VAl.
