This alloy, comprising boron and iron, is meticulously crafted to offer superior properties.Boro-iron, with a boron content of 5-25%, is classified based on its carbon content into low carbon (C≤0.05% ~ 0.1%, 9% ~ 25%B) and medium carbon (C≤2.5%, 4% ~ 19%B). As a potent deoxidizer and boron addition agent in steelmaking, iron boron plays a pivotal role. Even a trace amount of boron substantially enhances hardenability, potentially replacing a multitude of alloying elements. Moreover, it significantly improves mechanical properties, cold deformation attributes, weldability, and high-temperature performance.
