An exceptional alloy composed of boron and iron.Classified by carbon content, boron-iron (boron content: 5-25%) comes in low carbon (C≤0.05% ~ 0.1%, 9% ~ 25%B) and medium carbon (C≤2.5%, 4% ~ 19%B) varieties. Iron boron is a powerful deoxidizer and boron addition agent in steelmaking. Its most significant contribution is enhancing the hardenability of steel with very minimal addition, potentially replacing large quantities of other alloying elements. Moreover, it improves the mechanical properties, cold deformation properties, welding properties, and high-temperature properties of steel.
