Product Description

Ferrosilicon is a potent ferroalloy composed of iron and silicon, expertly crafted from coke, steel scraps, and quartz (or silica) in an advanced electric furnace. Due to the tendency of silicon and oxygen to form silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon is predominantly utilized as a formidable deoxidizer in steelmaking. Moreover, as SiO2 formation releases substantial heat, it enhances molten steel's temperature while performing deoxidization. Additionally, ferrosilicon serves as an invaluable alloying element additive, finding extensive applications in low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, and electrical silicon steel. It is also a critical reducing agent in both ferroalloy production and the chemical industry.
