Presenting our premium ferrovanadium, meticulously sourced directly from the heart of the manufacturing hub, guaranteeing unparalleled quality and unwavering reliability.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) stands as a vital ferroalloy extensively employed within the steel industry. This powerful alloy, a robust fusion of vanadium and iron, is subtly enhanced with trace impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FeV is expertly crafted through the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or via aluminothermic reduction. This remarkable alloy is essential in the production of vanadium-infused alloy steel and alloy cast iron, as well as in creating permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is meticulously adjusted according to specific alloy formulations and manufacturing requirements. Typically, the vanadium content in ferrovanadium spans from 30% to 80%, balanced by iron. FeV alloys are categorized into three distinguished types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80, all pivotal in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Furthermore, vanadium aluminum alloys are integral to titanium alloy production, commonly referred to as 'VQ' VAl.
