Product Description

Low and medium carbon ferromanganese play a pivotal role in the production of specialized steel, serving as one of the most vital raw materials in the steelmaking process. These remarkable alloys are also indispensable in the manufacture of welding electrodes. On the other hand, high carbon ferromanganese is utilized as a deoxidizing agent or as an alloying element in the art of steel-making, enhancing the quality and properties of the steel produced.

Depending on the method of smelting employed, ferromanganese can be classified into two distinct categories: electric furnace ferromanganese and blast furnace ferromanganese. Each has its unique advantages and applications in the steel production industry.
Ferromanganese is categorized into three distinct classes based on its carbon content, allowing for tailored applications across various domains:

Low-carbon category: This classification features a carbon content of no more than 0.7%, making it ideal for specific low-carbon applications.
Medium carbon category: Characterized by a carbon content ranging from greater than 0.7% to 2.0%, this category is suited for mid-range carbon requirements.
High-carbon category: With a carbon content exceeding 2.0% and reaching up to 8.0%, this category is perfect for high-carbon needs, offering robust performance.
