Customized Silver Gray Silicon Barium Calcium Alloy for Excellence in Steelmaking
Calcium Silicon Alloy is a versatile compound alloy composed of silicon, calcium, and iron. Renowned as an exceptional deoxidizer and desulfurization agent, it can replace aluminum for final deoxidation. This alloy is indispensable in the production of high-grade steel, specialty steel, and unique alloys. Its applications span across rail steel, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel-base alloys, titanium alloys, and other specialized alloys.
Calcium Silicon Alloys serve as premium deoxidizers and desulfurizers in the high-grade steel manufacturing process. Both calcium and silicon exhibit a strong chemical affinity for oxygen, with calcium also showing a robust affinity for sulfur and nitrogen. The steel industry utilizes approximately 90% of the global CaSi supply, highlighting its critical role in steel production.
This alloy is pivotal in modifying non-metallic inclusions, allowing precise control over their shape, size, and distribution. By enhancing fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties, Calcium Silicon significantly improves the overall quality of steel products.
