Discover the pinnacle of quality with our high-grade Ferrovanadium, directly sourced from the origin factory, ensuring exceptional standards and unmatched performance.
Ferrovanadium (FeV) is an indispensable ferroalloy in the steel industry, composed primarily of vanadium and iron, with minor impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FeV is manufactured through the carbon reduction or aluminothermic reduction of vanadium pentoxide in electric furnaces. This versatile alloy is extensively utilized as an essential additive in the smelting processes of vanadium-bearing alloy steel, alloy cast iron, and in the production of permanent magnets, enhancing strength and durability.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium can vary widely to meet specific alloy formulations and manufacturing demands, typically ranging from 30% to 80%, with the remainder being iron. Based on vanadium content, ferrovanadium is categorized into FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80, all vital as additives in alloy steel and low-alloy steel smelting. Furthermore, vanadium aluminum alloys, commonly known as "VQ" VAl, play a crucial role in the production of titanium alloys.
