Ferrovanadium is a critical alloy in the steel industry, celebrated for its remarkable versatility and effectiveness. Primarily composed of vanadium and iron, this alloy includes trace amounts of sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FeV is meticulously crafted with precision, either through carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or through aluminothermic reduction, ensuring a product of exceptional quality. It is an indispensable additive in producing vanadium-enriched alloy steel and cast iron, as well as in creating strong permanent magnets, playing a pivotal role in advanced steel manufacturing processes.

The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is meticulously tailored to precisely match specific alloy formulations and manufacturing needs, typically ranging from 30% to 80%, with iron completing the composition. FeV alloys are categorized into three main types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. Each variant is a vital additive in the smelting of both alloy and low-alloy steels.
