Ferromanganese is meticulously classified into three categories based on carbon content:

Low-carbon category: Here, the carbon content does not exceed 0.7%, making it suitable for specialized applications.
Medium carbon category: This encompasses carbon content ranging from greater than 0.7% up to 2.0%, ideal for a diverse array of industrial uses.
High-carbon category: Characterized by a carbon content ranging from more than 2.0% to 8.0%, this category is pivotal for applications requiring robust strength.
