Introducing our premium Customized Fecr Ferrochromium Low Carbon Ferro Chrome, specifically engineered for superior performance in steel-making applications.
Steel production remains the predominant application for Ferro Chrome, particularly in the manufacture of stainless steel containing between 10% to 20% chromium. This essential material ensures the integrity and durability of the steel.
Ferro-Chrome with a chromium content below 56% is classified as 'charge chrome' and is derived from ores with lower chromium concentrations. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from higher-grade ores, is favored in specialized engineering applications requiring an optimal Cr to Fe ratio and stringent control over impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium.
Our Low-Carbon Ferro-Chrome is indispensable in steel production for fine-tuning chromium levels without introducing unwanted carbon or trace elements. It serves as a cost-effective substitute for metallic chrome in super alloys and various high-performance melting applications.
