Silicon Metal, a cornerstone of modern industry, plays a pivotal role in various sectors including steel-making, cast iron production, aluminum manufacturing for aviation, aircraft, and automotive parts, as well as silicon optoelectronic devices. Often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries, this versatile product is crafted from quartz and coke through a specialized smelting process in an electric heating furnace. It boasts a remarkable purity with approximately 98% silicon content, while the remaining components include minor impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps originate from the fusion of quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. During this process, quartz undergoes a redox reaction, transforming into molten silicon liquid. Upon cooling, this liquid solidifies into large primary silicon metal lumps. These are then meticulously processed
into smaller, standardized pieces, typically ranging from 10-100mm in size, known as Silicon Metal Lumps.
These metal lumps exhibit a striking silver or dark gray hue with a metallic sheen. They are renowned for their exceptional properties, including a high melting point, robust heat resistance, significant resistivity, and outstanding oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal finds extensive application in the refractory material and power metallurgy industries, enhancing their performance by significantly boosting heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material, crucial for the formation of high polymers in organic silicon products.
3) Industrial silicon powder is transformed into monocrystalline silicon, a vital raw material in the high-tech sector, indispensable for the production of integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) Within metallurgy and foundry operations, industrial silicon powder is utilized as an iron base alloy additive and as an alloying agent in silicon steel, thereby enhancing the hardenability and overall quality of steel.
5) Silicon metal plays an essential role in the creation of high-temperature materials, contributing to their superior performance and reliability.
Our prestigious lineup of products includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, among others. Beyond this, we proudly facilitate the export of top-tier refractory materials and an array of other metallurgical products. Tailored processing is available to meet the unique demands of our valued clients.
Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the company boasts a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, dual 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, alongside four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three advanced cladding production lines.
