Experience the pinnacle of metallurgical excellence with our premium ferrovanadium, sourced directly from the manufacturing heartland. Our stringent quality controls ensure unmatched quality and reliability in every batch.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) stands as an indispensable ferroalloy, extensively employed within the steel industry. This alloy, consisting primarily of vanadium and iron, with trace impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum, is engineered through two principal methods: the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or by aluminothermic reduction. Renowned for its critical role, ferrovanadium is utilized as an essential additive in the smelting of vanadium-bearing alloy steel and alloy cast iron, and in the manufacture of permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is meticulously calibrated to meet specific alloy formulations and manufacturing criteria. Typically, the vanadium content ranges from 30% to 80%, with iron constituting the balance. We classify FeV alloys into three distinct categories based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. These alloys are vital additives in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Moreover, vanadium aluminum alloys, commonly known as 'VQ' VAl, are integral in the production of titanium alloys.
