Our Silicon Calcium Barium Alloy is an exceptional, high-performance composite from the barium series. This innovative alloy acts as both a deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steelmaking processes, and boasts efficient dephosphorization properties (BaP2, BaP3). Moreover, it serves as an inoculant and a casting modifier, ensuring superior results in the final product.
Barium plays a critical role in steelmaking by significantly reducing the vapor pressure of calcium at high temperatures and enhancing calcium's solubility in molten steel. When using Silicon Calcium Barium Alloy compared to standard silicon calcium alloy, the calcium content in the steel liquid is substantially higher-even with half the calcium addition. This improvement in calcium solubility and stability minimizes oxidation and ensures optimal calcium treatment in steelmaking, showcasing barium's protective efficacy in molten steel.
