Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) plays an indispensable role in the steel industry. Primarily composed of vanadium and iron, it includes minor impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FEIYUE Premium Ferrovanadium is crafted through either the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or via aluminothermic reduction. Renowned for being a vital element additive, this alloy enhances the smelting of vanadium-containing alloy steel and alloy cast iron, while also contributing to the creation of permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is tailored to specific alloy formulations and manufacturing demands. Typically, this ranges from 30% to 80%, with iron completing the composition. Our FeV alloys are classified into three types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. Each type is crucial in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Furthermore, vanadium aluminum alloys are essential in titanium alloy production and are commonly referred to as 'VQ' VAl.
