As a refractory material, it offers remarkable heat shock resistance, compact size, lightweight construction, superior strength, and excellent energy efficiency. Notably, low-grade silicon carbide with approximately 85% SiC content serves as a superb deoxidizer, accelerating the steelmaking process, allowing for precise control over chemical composition, and enhancing the overall quality of steel. Furthermore, silicon carbide is extensively utilized in the production of silicon carbide rods for electric heating elements.
