Product Description

Steel production is the predominant consumer of Ferro Chrome. It plays a crucial role especially in crafting stainless steel with chromium content ranging from 10% to 20%, ensuring optimal strength and corrosion resistance.

Ferro-Chrome featuring less than 56% chrome is known as 'charge chrome', crafted from ore with lower chrome content. Contrarily, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from higher-grade ore, is preferred for specialized applications like engineering steels where a superior Cr to Fe ratio and minimal impurity levels of elements such as sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are critical.

Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is indispensable in steel production to fine-tune chromium levels whilst maintaining stable carbon and trace element compositions. It serves as a cost-effective substitute for metallic chrome in super alloys and specialized melting applications.
