Primarily composed of vanadium and iron, this alloy also incorporates trace elements such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FeV is meticulously crafted through the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace, or through aluminothermic reduction, ensuring a product of the highest quality. It is an essential additive in the manufacture of vanadium-enriched alloy steel and cast iron, as well as in the production of robust permanent magnets, reinforcing its significant role in advanced steel manufacturing.

The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is expertly tailored to meet specific alloy formulations and manufacturing requirements, typically ranging from 30% to 80%, with iron completing the composition. FeV alloys are classified into three main types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. Each variant is an indispensable additive in the smelting of both alloy and low-alloy steels. Furthermore, vanadium aluminum alloys, commonly known as 'VQ' VAl, are crucial in titanium alloy production, underscoring their critical role in the industry and cementing their place as a cornerstone in modern manufacturing.
