Premium Customized Silver Gray Silicon Barium Calcium Alloy for Advanced Steelmaking Applications
Calcium silicon alloy, a sophisticated compound alloy consisting of elements such as silicon, calcium, and iron, serves as an exceptional deoxidizer and desulfurization agent. Currently, calcium alloy has the potential to replace aluminum for terminal deoxidation, and is extensively applied in the production of high-quality steel, special steel, and various bespoke alloys. This includes the manufacture of rail steel, low carbon steel, stainless steel, as well as specialized alloys like nickel base and titanium alloy.
Calcium Silicon Alloys play a crucial role as deoxidizers and desulfurizers in high-grade steel production. Both calcium and silicon exhibit a pronounced chemical affinity for oxygen. Specifically, calcium demonstrates a strong chemical affinity not only for oxygen but also for sulfur and nitrogen, making it indispensable. Approximately 90% of global CaSi consumption is attributed to the steel industry.
This versatile alloy is also pivotal in the modification of non-metallic inclusions. Calcium Silicon is instrumental in regulating the shape, size, and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions, thereby enhancing the fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of steel products.
