Product Description

Our Silicon Calcium Barium alloy is an innovative and highly efficient composite in the barium series. It excels as a deoxidizer, desulfurizer, and dephosphorizer (BaP2, BaP3) in steelmaking. Additionally, it serves as a superb inoculant and modifier in casting applications, ensuring superior metal quality.

Barium plays a pivotal role by reducing the vapor pressure of calcium within the steelmaking temperature range, thus boosting calcium's solubility in molten steel. Compared to silicon calcium alloy, using our silicon calcium barium alloy as a calcium source means even with half the calcium addition, you achieve approximately twice the calcium content in molten steel, with significantly enhanced stability. This demonstrates barium's effective protection of calcium in molten steel, minimizing oxidation, and optimizing calcium treatment.
