Product Description
 

Ferro Chrome is an indispensable element in steel manufacturing, particularly in the production of stainless steel with chromium content ranging between 10% and 20%.

Ferro-Chrome with a chromium content below 56%, known as 'charge chrome,' is derived from lower-grade chrome ore. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, made from superior-grade ore, is utilized in specialized fields such as engineering steels where a high Chromium to Iron ratio and negligible quantities of sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are crucial.

In steel production, low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is employed to adjust chromium levels without causing undesirable changes in carbon or trace element percentages. It serves as a cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome for super alloys and other specialized melting applications.
