Renowned for its versatility and substantial production scale, this alloy ranks second in consumption in the realm of electric furnace ferroalloy products. The manganese and silicon components exhibit a robust affinity for oxygen, making them ideal for steelmaking. The deoxidation process yields mnsio3 and mn2sio4 with melting points of 1270 ºC and 1327 ºC respectively, showcasing notable advantages: low melting point, sizable particles, buoyancy, and superior deoxidation efficacy. Individually, manganese or silicon deoxidization has burning loss rates of 46% and 37%, while the silicon manganese alloy impressively reduces it to 29%. Crafted through the reduction of manganese ore, including manganese-rich slag, manganese oxide, and silicon dioxide, this alloy is produced in submerged arc furnaces, paving the way for advanced metallurgical applications.
