Product Description

Ferrosilicon, a remarkable ferro alloy composed of iron and silicon, is crafted meticulously using coke, steel scraps, and quartz (or silica) in a high-temperature electric furnace. As silicon and oxygen readily form silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon efficiently facilitates this process. The exothermic nature of the SiO2 formation enhances the molten steel's temperature, making the deoxidation process even more effective. Additionally, ferrosilicon plays a crucial role as an alloying element additive, finding widespread use in the production of low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, and electrical silicon steel. Furthermore, its application extends to being a vital reducing agent in ferroalloy production and various chemical industry processes.
