Silicon Metal is a crucial industrial product that is extensively employed in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), silicon optoelectronic devices, and numerous other industries. Often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries, Metal Silicon is produced from quartz and coke in an electric furnace. It primarily consists of about 98% silicon, with the remaining impurities being iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. During the process, quartz undergoes a redox reaction to become molten silicon, which solidifies upon cooling into the sizeable silicon metal lumps.
These large silicon metal lumps are subsequently broken down into smaller, standard-sized lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.
It appears in silver-gray or dark-gray hues with a metallic luster. Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely applied in refractory materials and power metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder acts as a fundamental raw material for producing high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is refined into monocrystalline silicon, an indispensable material in high-tech fields for making integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is utilized as an iron base alloy additive and silicon steel alloy pharmaceutical, thereby enhancing the hardenability of steel.
5) Employed in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our primary products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also export refractory materials and other metallurgical products. Custom processing is available to meet customer specifications.
The company operates one 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, and four medium frequency electric furnaces. Additionally, we have three cladding line production lines, enabling a seamless production process for manganese series hot charging and hot mixing systems, resulting in high quality, efficient, and low-consumption outputs.
