Moreover, refractory materials crafted from silicon carbide boast superior heat shock resistance, compact size, lightweight build, and robust strength, all contributing to an outstanding energy-saving effect. Low-grade silicon carbide, containing roughly 85% SiC, serves as a remarkable deoxidizer, accelerating the steelmaking process and aiding in precise chemical composition control, thus elevating steel quality. Furthermore, silicon carbide is extensively employed in fabricating silicon carbide rods, essential for electric heating elements.
