Silicon Metal is a crucial industrial product that serves a broad range of sectors including steel-making, cast iron, aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production, and silicon optoelectronic devices. Known as the 'salt' of modern industries, this metal is produced from quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The primary component is silicon with a content of about 98%, while the remaining impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes reduction and becomes molten silicon liquid. After cooling, it solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps, which are then processed
into standard-sized smaller lumps, specifically Silicon Metal Lumps ranging from 10-100mm.
Featuring a silver-gray or dark gray color with a metallic luster, Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) Serves as a foundational raw material in the chemical industry for the production of organic silicon and its high-polymer derivatives.
3) Sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, it is essential in high-tech fields for creating integrated circuits and various electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, it acts as an additive in iron-based alloys and as a pharmaceutical component in silicon steel to improve the hardenability of steel.
5) Used in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our extensive product lineup includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also export refractory materials and various metallurgical products, all customizable to meet customer specifications.
Equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines, our company excels in the manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system. This integrated setup ensures a streamlined production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
