Product Description
 

Steel manufacturing relies heavily on Ferro Chrome, particularly in stainless steel production featuring chromium content ranging from 10% to 20%. This essential element enhances steel's durability and resistance to corrosion.

Ferro-Chrome with less than 56% chrome is termed 'charge chrome' and is derived from lower-grade chrome ore. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from superior grade ore, is preferred for specialized engineering steels. These steels demand a high Cr to Fe ratio and low levels of sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium, crucial for their performance.

Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is vital in steel production for fine-tuning chrome levels without altering carbon or trace element balances. It is also a cost-effective substitute for metallic chrome in super alloys and specialized melting applications.
