Introducing our premium ferrovanadium, meticulously sourced from the heart of the manufacturing world to guarantee unparalleled quality and unwavering reliability.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) stands as an indispensable ferroalloy, predominantly employed within the steel industry. Composed chiefly of vanadium and iron, it includes minor impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FeV is crafted either through the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or via aluminothermic reduction. This versatile alloy is widely recognized for its role as a critical element additive in the smelting of vanadium-containing alloy steel and alloy cast iron, as well as in the production of permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is meticulously adjusted according to specific alloy formulations and manufacturing needs. Generally, vanadium content in ferrovanadium ranges from 30% to 80%, with iron constituting the remainder. FeV alloys are classified into three main types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80, each serving as essential additives in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Furthermore, vanadium aluminum alloys play a crucial role in titanium alloy production, commonly referred to as 'VQ' VAl.
