According to the composition of the core material, the cored wire can be divided into single and composite cored wires:
1) Single cored wire is a type of cored wire that contains a single kind of alloy powder or powdery nonmetallic compound additive as the core material.
2) Composite cored wire is comprised of two or more types of alloy powders as the core material.
The cored wire can be classified into inner tap type and outer tap type based on the wire arrangement.
Primarily utilized to purify steel impurities, enhance the quality of molten steel, improve casting conditions, and boost the castability of molten steel. These cored wires significantly enhance alloy yield, reduce alloy consumption, and lower the cost of steelmaking.
