Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content of less than 56% is referred to as 'charge chrome.' It is derived from chrome-containing ore with lower chrome content. On the other hand, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, made from higher-grade ore, finds its niche in specialized applications, such as engineering steels, where a superior Cr to Fe ratio and minimal levels of impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are crucial.

Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is an essential component in steel manufacturing, allowing for precise chrome percentage adjustments without introducing unwanted variances in carbon or trace elements.
