Product Description

Ferrosilicon is a robust ferro alloy, ingeniously crafted from ferro and silicon. Produced from high-quality coke, steel scraps, and quartz or silica, it is expertly smelted in an electric furnace. Silicon effortlessly binds with oxygen to form silicon dioxide, making ferrosilicon an ideal deoxidizer in steelmaking. The exothermic reaction of SiO2 formation elevates the temperature of molten steel, enhancing the deoxidization process. Additionally, ferrosilicon serves as a crucial alloying element additive, prominently featured in low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, and electrical silicon steel. This versatile product is also a prime reducing agent for ferroalloy production and finds significant applications in the chemical industry.
