Silicon Metal, a cornerstone of modern industry, boasts versatile applications across steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic devices, among many other sectors. Heralded as the 'salt' of contemporary industries, Metal Silicon is meticulously crafted from quartz and coke through electric heating furnace smelting. With a primary silicon content of approximately 98%, this product also contains minimal impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium, ensuring unparalleled quality.
Silicon Metal lumps are meticulously produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes a redox reaction, transforming into molten silicon liquid. Upon cooling, this liquid solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps. These
large lumps are then expertly refined into smaller, standardized sizes, ranging from 10-100mm, to meet diverse industrial demands.
Characterized by its silver or dark gray hue and metallic luster, Silicon Metal exhibits a high melting point, exceptional heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely utilized in refractory materials and powder metallurgy, Silicon Metal enhances heat, wear, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder is a fundamental raw material for the synthesis of high polymer organic silicon compounds.
3) Sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, industrial silicon powder is integral to high-tech fields, forming the backbone of integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder serves as a vital iron base alloy additive and an alloying agent for silicon steel, significantly improving steel hardenability.
5) Silicon Metal is pivotal in the production of high-temperature materials, ensuring durability and performance.
