Low and Medium Carbon Ferromanganese is an indispensable component in the production of special steels. On the other hand, High Carbon Ferromanganese stands out as a premier deoxidizing agent and is frequently used as an additive for alloy elements in the steel-making industry.
Based on distinct smelting methods, ferromanganese can be categorized into two primary types: Electric Furnace Ferromanganese and Blast Furnace Ferromanganese.
Ferromanganese, according to its carbon content, is divided into three distinct categories:
Low-Carbon Category: Characterized by a carbon content that does not exceed 0.7%;
Medium-Carbon Category: Defined by a carbon content ranging from greater than 0.7% up to 2.0%;
High-Carbon Category: Distinguished by a carbon content that exceeds 2.0%, reaching up to 8.0%.
