Silicon Metal is a crucial industrial product with a multitude of applications. It is indispensable in steel-making, cast iron, and aluminum industries, including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts production. Moreover, it plays a vital role in silicon optoelectronic devices and many other sectors, earning it the moniker 'salt' of modern industries. Produced from quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace, silicon metal boasts a primary silicon content of about 98%. The remaining impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium, among others.
Silicon Metal lumps are forged in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes a redox reaction, transforming into molten silicon liquid, which solidifies upon cooling. These primary silicon metal lumps are initially very large in size.
They are subsequently broken down into smaller, standard-sized lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.
Boasting a silver-gray or dark gray hue with a metallic luster, silicon metal features a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely applied in refractory materials and power metallurgy industries, silicon metal significantly enhances heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for the formation of high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a crucial raw material in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is regarded as an additive for iron-base alloys and as an alloying agent in silicon steel, thus improving steel hardenability.
5) Silicon metal is also utilized in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our flagship products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. Additionally, we engage in the export of refractory materials and other metallurgical products, offering tailored processing services to meet customer needs.
Supported by one 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding production lines, our company achieves impeccable manganese series hot charging and hot mixing processes. This integrated approach ensures high-quality, high-yield, and low-consumption production.
