Diverse smelting methods give rise to two distinct types of ferromanganese: the electric furnace ferromanganese, renowned for its precision and efficiency, and the robust blast furnace ferromanganese, each tailored to meet the demands of modern metallurgy.
Ferromanganese, distinguished by its varying carbon content, is meticulously categorized into three distinct classifications:

Low-carbon category: characterized by a carbon content not exceeding 0.7%, tailored for specific applications requiring minimal carbon presence.
Medium carbon category: featuring a carbon content ranging from greater than 0.7% to 2.0%, offering a balanced composition for versatile usage.
High-carbon category: possessing a carbon content extending from greater than 2.0% to 8.0%, ideal for applications demanding higher carbon integration.
