Through specialized processes, silicon carbide powder is applied to enhance the durability of water turbine impellers and cylinders. This increases wear resistance and can extend service life by up to twice its original duration. Refractory materials created from silicon carbide are renowned for their heat shock resistance, compact size, light weight, and high strength, contributing significantly to energy savings. Moreover, low-grade silicon carbide, containing approximately 85% SiC, serves as an outstanding deoxidizer, accelerating steelmaking, simplifying chemical composition control, and elevating steel quality. The material's versatility is further evidenced in the production of silicon carbide rods for electric heating elements.
