Ferro-Chrome boasting a chrome content below 56% is referred to as 'charge chrome', derived from chrome-rich ore with reduced chrome levels. Alternatively, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from superior grade ore, is predominantly utilized in specialized domains like engineering steels, demanding a substantial Cr to Fe ratio and minimal impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium.

Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is indispensable in steel manufacturing, adjusting chrome levels without perturbing carbon or trace elements. It is a cost-effective substitute for metallic chrome in super alloys and select melting applications, enhancing quality and efficiency.
