Introducing our exceptional ferrovanadium, expertly sourced from the epicenter of manufacturing excellence, ensuring unmatched quality and steadfast dependability.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) is a crucial ferroalloy pivotal in the steel industry. Comprised of a powerful combination of vanadium and iron, it includes minor impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FeV is skillfully manufactured either through carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or via aluminothermic reduction. This extraordinary alloy is essential as an element additive in the creation of vanadium-bearing alloy steel, alloy cast iron, and the fabrication of permanent magnets, making it indispensable in modern metallurgy.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is precisely calibrated to align with specific alloy formulations and manufacturing demands. Typically, ferrovanadium contains vanadium ranging from 30% to 80%, with iron as the balancing component. FeV alloys are categorized into three distinct types, based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80, each crucial in alloy and low-alloy steel smelting. Moreover, vanadium aluminum alloys play a vital role in titanium alloy production, widely known as 'VQ' VAl, underscoring their significance in advanced metallurgy.
